Wow... the last couple weeks seem to have just gone by in a blur! From the trip to cali, to family in town, to school starting, to home repair projects, to the performing arts season starting back up, to charity events, etc, etc...
I don't have a clue where to start but, I suppose the holiday weekend is as good of a place as any... We started the weekend out with a fun triple date - Marianne (Bentley) and her husband Ryan, along with our friends James and Michelle met us at Costa Vida for a yummy dinner and then we all headed across the street to the Hale Centre Theatre to see BIG. It's a musical version of the Tom Hanks movie from the 80's (I think that's when it came out). It was not our favorite play at the Hale Centre, but we did enjoy it and quickly realized that Troy needs to see the movie. Haha! I had just assumed he knew the story... oops! I should have realized that wouldn't be the case... so... we'll rent it sometime soon. :)
The rest of the weekend was spent shopping, cleaning, studying (for Troy, of course), working on the house, etc... nothing too terribly exciting but it was a fun time none-the-less. I always love 3 day weekends!
This week has been just as crazy as the last several... Troy attended the Vivace meeting last night and we are getting excited for the new symphony/opera season to start! The Symphony season kicks off next week with the season opening gala/fundraiser, and the first concert. The opening Opera will be in October.
I missed the meeting unfortunately... I went to the dermatologist yesterday and he took a nice chunk out of my ear... yuck! So I feel very foolish with a bandage on my ear, but I suppose its better than having me pass out every time I look in the mirror... haha! :) He didn't seem too concerned about it being skin cancer, but wanted to be extra safe... so... keep your fingers crossed for good test results. :) I feel pretty confident though that it won't be anything more than just another mole (I only have 3000 others... haha!). Let's hope I am right!
We also are attending a dance show tonight - Dance Koester Dance. A company of dancers are performing works from Choreographer Steven Koester. I am not familiar with Koester, but we know a few of the dancers and are very much looking forward to the show.
Friday we are headed back to the Monet to Picasso exhibit at the UMFA. Troy hasn't seen it yet and we are attending a private tour with some friends (and a group called Young Benefactors) so, it should be great fun.
Saturday Troy has a class that runs all day... yuck! And then we are off to our friend Jessica's wedding reception up at Red Butte Gardens. I love going to Red Butte Gardens, so I am very excited!
While the weekend will be full and busy, we are both really sad that we will not be in Newport this Sunday for Etta's blessing.... We really would have loved to have been there! :(
OK... off to work! :)

It was great to see you even for just a minute! Thanks for taking the time to stop by on a not very relaxed vacation day!!
Etta's blessing was really nice. She did not make a peep, she looked really beautiful, and Jason did a great job. Missed you !
