Misc Wedding Stuff....

Less than 3 weeks.... oh my!

I think we are pretty well squared away.... we are looking forward to the trip to California and to the fun wedding festivities!

Thank you Carly for all the help with the place cards, hair clips, vases, etc! You have been so awesome!

Sounds like everyone has a cute new wedding outfit...Yeah! (well, I haven't heard if Meri and Madde have anything... hopefully!)

Thanks Mom for all the work on getting the reception planned! And for all the love and support! Sorry about the nightmares.... haha!

As everyone knows, we picked out ties for all the nephews, brother and brothers-in-law. All the ties are in California, so I don't have pictures of each one to post, but it sounds like a couple of the guys are wanting to see them so they can coordinate their outfits too. So, for the brothers and brothers-in-law - here is your tie -There are both black and dark brown in the tie, plus tan, blue and orange. So a black or brown suit should both look fine.

For the sisters, sisters-in-law and nieces (and Michelle too!!), Carly has made very cute flower hair clips for everyone. There are a variety of sizes and colors. Here is a small sampling...

Zuri, the baby elephant...

Christy, one of the African elephants at our zoo gave birth about 2 months ago. Little Zuri is just the cutest thing. She is playful and precocious... anyway, here she is.

after the zoo...

After the zoo today, we got a little time to hang out with the Burgoynes.... not enough time, but we tried to make the most of it. :)
Emma doesn't like too many people, but she loves me and that couldn't make me happier! :)

babies at the zoo...

It's not very often that Troy and I are at the zoo with someone who is capable of taking a picture... Thank you Daniel!! We had such a great time today with Daniel, Miles and Matthew. Thanks boys for going with us! Here are tons of pictures from today's trip, and from other zoo days as well.

Miles, Daniel, and Matthew.
Baby Meerkats

The baby giraffe turned 2 months old today. He is growing very quickly!

The snow leopard is about 4 months old now and he is just so adorable! He gets more and more playful each time we see him. He pounces on his mom's head, paws at the window, pretends to hunt, etc. So cute!
Here he is, ready to pounce...
Mama Snow Leopard
Bosha (sp?) the Amur Tiger recently had 3 little male cubs. They are about 3 months old now and are so cute! Apparently they weighed about 25 pounds at 12 weeks old, and will get up to 500+ pounds. Their Dad is at our zoo also. His name is Kazick (sp?). Awhile back I posted some close-up photos of him. He's huge! Anyway, they think the 3 little guys will be at our zoo until they are about a year and a 1/2 and then they will go to other zoos. Below is Mama with all three cubs (there is one kind of behind her).

This one was experimenting with growling... haha!

pool days...

We've been enjoying the pool lots this summer..... i look a little funny swimming in my hat, but oh well. Haha!

August trip to California...

We had a great time in California in August... it was mostly about wedding stuff, but we managed to have a little fun too! We went to the pool, went out on the boat, hung out with family, went to dinner with Michelle and Rob, etc. etc. As always we were very sad to leave... the boat trip, on a rather windy rough morning...

What would a trip to California be without a visit to "Cars and Coffee" for Troy...

Askie's August Visit...

Askie came for a visit in August.... I loved having him for a few days! He is getting pretty old, but we had fun going on short walks and just hanging out. :)
