Last week I had a fabulous date night..... with a cute little guy named Henry! We went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point, out for dinner and then met up with Uncle Troy for some yummy ice cream!
He was a little nervous at first and wanted to be carried everywhere, but once we got to the play area he warmed up to the place a bit.... still had this nervous expression on his face for a though.
He loved this play area and hung out putting the dinosaurs through the shaped holes for a half hour or so. he would clap and smile when they fit through. At one point I was looking the other way for a minute and he started calling "Jen" until I looked over to watch him put the dinosaur in the hole and cheer along with him. It was so cute!
He thought the shark looked cool until I tried to walk over by it..... then it was "no, no, no" whispered rather quietly. But he was OK with getting some pictures as long as we didn't go to close. :)
There is this fun area where you can build your own dinosaur... Henry wanted him to have 2 heads.
For some reason when you tell Henry to smile for a photo he scrunches up his eyes..... it's rather funny...
Finally brave enough to walk on his own for a few feet... :)
And out for ice cream.... For some reason Henry thought it was hilarious to wear a napkin on his head.... Troy and I both had a turn wearing napkins, but thankfully there are no photos. :)

A very full weekend....
We had a very fun, very full weekend... the Burgoynes were in town, which we always love. And of course that means the whole family was together hanging out for a large portion of it. :)
Cameron arrived a few days earlier so Troy and I did our best to help entertain him... first the ReAL Soccer Game (Futbol Match - for Troy's sake) and then we took him to his first ballet. We all had a great time at the game, and the ballet was excellent as well.
The soccer game was very fun.... but it was also VERY WET! It started raining pretty hard during the second half, and ended up pretty chilly, but we still had a great time! Not sure you can see the rain in the photos... but I tried. :)
First the ominous clouds...

The ballet was the "Treasures of the Ballet Russes" and was 3 different pieces from one of the original ballet companies in the world -- I think... Troy is that right?? Anyway... all three of us really liked "The Prodigal Son"... it was emotional and touching and performed very well. I think Cameron was pleasantly surprised by the ballet overall. At the first intermission he said, "it's not nearly as boring as I expected." Haha! Hopefully he will try attending at least a few more.
Anyway.... here are Avery and Emma.... such little angels when they are sleeping (or getting along.)
And Troy and I were in charge of dessert for Sunday dinner... we bought pie for the adults and I made "yummy cookies" for the kids. Troy talked the cookies up a lot... I hope they didn't disappoint. :)
And of course, we have one photo of chubby little Henry...

catching up...
A couple weeks ago we went to Pocatello because several of the Burgoynes were speaking in sacrament meeting. Cameron, Troy and I cruised up Sunday morning and arrived just in time for a short hail storm. Haha! Anyway.... Henry was a little grouchy that day so I missed most of the talks but I heard part of Rich's and all of Tanya's. They both did an excellent job! Daniel and Matthew both gave me their talks at the house after church.... excellent jobs by both of them! I still haven't heard Joe's talk, but I was told he did an excellent job.
We didn't take many pictures of course... I've been a slacker lately on the photos, but I got a couple cute ones of Henry... and one of Cameron playing the piano. :)
