And of course the vacation continued after we returned to Utah...

The Dinosaur Museum (at Thanksgiving Point) was pretty fun.... can't believe its so close and we had never been there before...Then Mom and I popped into the UMFA for the Monet to Picasso Exhibit. (no photos, sorry)...

Then off to Brandon's wedding for lots of dancing. Troy and I were watching Avery that night, and I think she had a pretty great time dancing with Elliott, Troy, Ede and Jen.... (sorry about the blurry photos... must have been all the spinning that Avery wanted to do! haha!!)

Don't they look so cute?? :) Love it!!

What a great Uncle.... Love you, Babu!
And some additional photos, supplied by Carly... thanks Carly! :)
More dancing... More fun at the Dinosaur Museum - I think my favorite part was when Avery tried to explain to me that only the large "animals" were dinosaurs... the small ones were apparently something else. Haha! :)

Avery seemed to think that "Papa Dave" was pretty fun....

And I can't say that I blame her.... I think he is pretty dang cool too! :) Love you, Pops!

Missing in Action...

Sorry to have been missing in action..... I was taking a nice long vacation! :) I promise to post an update soon with photos from the beach, the bounce house, the dinosaur museum, and more!! And will give updates on all the other fun stuff too! :)

For those that can't wait.... the fund-raiser went well! It was a smaller crowd but we still raised close to $600 which is great! We can buy one of the villages a cow and a flock of hens. :)

oh boy....

now what?? Yikes... the DJ for the fund-raising party on the 23rd just told me that he has a conflict and won't be able to make it...... can't really have a dance party without a DJ!!! So..... if anyone knows anyone in the Salt Lake or Provo area that would VOLUNTEER their DJ services, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! :) THANKS!!!!

On a happier note... Troy has gotten most of his grades back (with the exception of the class that's still going, of course...) and he has 3 As, 1 A-, 1 B and 1 B-..... pretty awesome, if you ask me! I would have loved to have grades likes that! Troy is one smart boy! Congrats to him on the wonderful grades!

Here are a couple more photos from our fun Symphony/Time for Three concert on August 1st...

The Vivace Party at Red Rock -
Tracy and Troy -
Me, looking goofy - The band (Time for Three) with our friend Tonya - I'll be honest - I have no idea what was going on here with Troy and Tracy but it was probably trouble... They had out lots of $1 bills and were laughing way too much! I'm going to have start separating those two at future events... Haha!

Deer Valley Music Festival

So as you all know... we went up to the Deer Valley Music Festival last weekend so... here are a few photos! :)

This one turned out a little blurry but, here we are, none-the-less...

This is our friend and fellow RWDC Board Member, Tracy... he is a just a blast to hang out with and we are so happy that we have gotten to know him!

The venue was gorgeous, as always!!The concert was absolutely wonderful and we had a great time... especially because there was no rain like the week before! Haha! The vivace after-party was at Red Rock on PC and it was a great opportunity to hang with friends and get to know the musicians from Time for Three. They are just hilarious and fun and it was a pleasure to hang out with them again!

This weekend Troy has VERY LITTLE homework so we are very much looking forward to a "normal weekend"! We may even go wild and go out to a movie! Haha! Friday night we are attending the "student showcase" for the RWDC workshop students who have been in town attending a 3 week dance workshop. We are looking forward to the show and visiting with everyone from the company since we've all had most of the summer off... Well, that's not really true - the dancers have been working like mad, but the Board took the summer off because we are spoiled like that. :)

P.S.
Sandy - this one is of course for you! :) I had never actually seen a bacon wallet until last night... and there is was, in the hands of our friend Dave! Haha!

Just for fun...

(I saw this idea on one of my high school friend’s pages on Facebook and loved the idea… so I copied it! :) Hope she doesn’t mind!)

If my 16 year old self could see my 36 year old self, she'd be shocked that...

~ I drive a station wagon (Or a “sport wagon” as the Volvo people claim… haha!)

~ I listen to and actually enjoy country music

~ I have scars all over my body from the removal of so many moles that the doctors feared were skin cancer… really should have been more diligent about the sunscreen!

~ More often than not, it seems that our lives revolve around our 3 dogs

~ I listen to and enjoy classical music and the opera (and we have season tickets to both)

~ I find so much joy in serving others and doing volunteer work

~ Not wearing your retainer leads to getting braces for a 2nd time, and in your 30’s no less. Yuck!

~ That many of the friendships I made when I was in my teens, are still some of my most treasured friendships

~ I am still living in Utah. Haha!

~ I still use the information I learned when baking cookies at the Sweet Life

~ I am currently single (but have found the love of my life and can’t wait to spend all time and eternity with him!)

~ I know so many people who have been affected by cancer... and in so many ways, and so many different kinds

~ I still hate mornings... ok, that one may not be a surprise! haha!

~ I still enjoy Tae Kwon Do!

And last but not least....

~ I am dating a college student!

Happy Late Birthday to Tanya! So fun to see all of you this weekend and thanks for sharing your BDay with us! We hope you enjoy your shopping spree! Remember to buy FUN things for YOU!

Wait a minute... I got Ariel too...

Looks like I take after my older sister, Janice! :)

You Are Ariel!

Headstrong and fiesty. You have a mind of your own that's full of romantic dreams about the world around you. Exploring exotic places is your ultimate dream, and although you can be a little naive you'll realize that there is something to be gained from your family's wisdom.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

Hip Hip Hooray!

Troy got a B- in his Spanish class! Yeah! This has been a major source of stress for him and I am so proud of him for getting the grade he needed!
